    Additional Information

Where Type O Lime Mortar Is Used

CenturyWerks’ Type O mortar is manufactured for repointing and repair on pre-1930s brick and stone, including transition-era masonry built with early Portland-lime blends. It has been specified on landmark and institutional restoration work, including Mies van der Rohe’s Promontory Apartments in Chicago, as well as on residential tuckpointing and repointing projects.

If you’re unsure whether the original mortar on your project is a true lime mortar or an early Type O/N blend, our Mortar Testing & Analysis service can confirm composition before you finalize a spec.

Type O Mortar Composition & Performance

This Type O lime mortar is preblended and manufactured in-house to ASTM C270, with batch-to-batch consistency in color and texture. It’s available in White or Grey base with Fine, Mason, or Coarse sand, and we offer custom color and aggregate matching through our Custom Material Matching & Blending service for projects requiring an exact match to existing mortar.

Lime Mortar Type O ships in 1-gallon, 5-gallon, 50-lb bag, and Supersack sizes with no minimum order, so punch-list repointing and full facade restorations can be sourced from the same product line.
